Cable Bahamas and Milo Butler Distributors Team Up For Hurricane Relief Efforts
“Humane Society of The Bahamas receives sizeable donation”
The communications provider reached out again in an effort to provide aid to local pet charity, the Humane Society of The Bahamas (BHS). Cable Bahamas (CBL) partnered with Bahamian wholesaler, Milo Butler Distributors immediately following the passage of Hurricane Irma to bring relief to those most impacted by the storm and the BHS was not left of the list.
“Not only were we able to provide relief to scores of Bahamian families that were impacted by the passage of the storms, but we were also able to assist the Humane Society,” says CBL Marketing Manager, Melissa Colebrook. “Oftentimes the public forgets that there’s a real need to help the animals and we were amazed at the thoughtfulness of the Milo Butler team. We asked for their help in providing non-perishable items and they delivered upon their word. ”
Bahamas Humane Society President, Kim Aranha and Shelter Manager, Percy Grant were present to receive the donation.
Brand Manager at Milo Butler Distributors, Jamarl Chea continued, “We’re pleased to partner with Cable Bahamas to make this donation of Milk-Bone products to the Bahamas Humane Society. The organization plays a tremendous role in assisting pet owners during a hurricane and in its aftermath and we commend them for their efforts.”
Cable Bahamas partnered with several local corporations and organizations including Milo Butler Distributors, the Bahamas Hotel Tourism Association, New Providence Community Centre, Hands for Hunger and Chef Owen Bain, Cassava Grill to help provide relief to those most devastated by Hurricane Irma. Colebrook asserted, “We continue to work alongside our partners to ensure that those most needing receive the relief items donated.”
