REV Sponsors twenty fourth annual Red Ribbon Ball
“Foundation receives $25,000 donation from communications company”
REV’s seventeen year partnership in the fight against AIDS continued this year with a twenty five thousand dollar donation from the communications giant.
With close to eighty-four children living with HIV/AIDS in The Bahamas, at a cost of approximately $2,000 per child, Lady Camille Barnett, President of The Bahamas AIDS Foundation shared that, “It’s expensive to fund these kinds of programs. Some persons may become immune to the medication provided over time and require a different kind of drug. We have been so fortunate to have corporate partners like REV who have been critical to this process.”
COO, John Gomez confirmed, “Once again we pledge our partnership with the AIDS Foundation of The Bahamas to assist in your tireless commitment to the Bahamian community. We know that the Bahamas AIDS Foundation works so hard to bring education and awareness to assist in the prevention, treatment and care of those persons living with HIV/AIDS in The Bahamas. We applaud your efforts and pledge to continue our partnership in the fight against HIV/AIDS in The Bahamas and worldwide.”
This year’s Red Ribbon Ball was under the theme, “Lights, Camera, Action”, providing attendees with a night of entertainment and prizes at the Grand Ballroom, Atlantis Paradise Island.
