Dexter B. Cartwright, CPA, MBA, has been announced as a new candidate standing for election as a Director of the Board for Cable Bahamas Group. With over 25 years of progressive experience in finance and operations management, Dexter brings a wealth of expertise to this role. His journey encompasses significant achievements in various high-stakes environments, including startups, turnarounds, and transformational settings, particularly in complex and global contexts.
Currently serving as the Chief Financial & Strategy Officer at South Reach Networks, Dexter has demonstrated his capability in leading corporate finance and strategy activities. His tenure includes pivotal contributions such as integrating a major underground network and divesting a data center business, which resulted in notable revenue growth and operational streamlining.

Previously, as the CFO of the B2B Division at Cable & Wireless Communications, Dexter effectively managed finance activities of a $1.2B revenue division, overseeing 26 markets in the Caribbean and Latin America. His strategic and operational initiatives significantly enhanced financial and organizational efficiency.

Dexter’s role as Interim CEO of Bahamas Telecommunications Company further highlights his ability to optimize operational efficiency and implement cost-reduction strategies in challenging market conditions. His time at Cable & Wireless Networks and Columbus Networks is marked by successful financial management and significant contributions to M&A activities.

Educationally, Dexter holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Accounting, Cum Laude, from Florida International University, complemented by an Associate of Arts in Accounting from the College of Bahamas. His bilingual fluency in English and Spanish enhances his strong leadership, communication, and people skills, crucial for establishing effective collaborative stakeholder relationships.
