Felix Stubbs, Director
Felix N. Stubbs, MBE, D.H.L., is standing for election as a Director of the Board for Cable Bahamas Group, adding to his extensive record of service and leadership. Formerly the President and General Manager of IBM Bahamas Ltd for over 32 years, Felix transformed the company from hardware-focused to a leader in software and services. He is a past president of The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and has held influential roles in the One Eleuthera Foundation, the Central Bank of The Bahamas, and the Bahamas National Festival Commission.
In 2014, he chaired the National Development Plan Steering Committee, creating a strategic plan for The Bahamas’ development, and received the Bahamian Icon Award for Commerce. His humanitarian contributions were recognized with The William Booth Award from The Salvation Army.
Felix was awarded an honorary doctorate from BWR Ministries & Seminary in 2006 and was appointed a Member of The Most Excellent Order of The British Empire in 1996. His commercial roles include positions at First Caribbean International Bank Bahamas Ltd., CIBC Trust Company (Bahamas) Limited, and Doctors Hospital.
As Chairman of New Providence Ecology Park, he leads the transformation of a local dump into an ecological park. He has also served as a director and Chairman of the Board of the Grand Bahamas Port Authority and a Board member at Famguard Corporation Ltd.
A dedicated Rotarian, Felix has held positions including Past District Governor for Rotary International and received the Sir Durward Knowles Humanitarian Recognition Award. He is married to Madam Justice Carla Card-Stubbs, and together they are committed to community service. His candidacy for the Board of Cable Bahamas Group is a continuation of his commitment to the progress of The Bahamas.
