Sean McWeeney Jr, Director
Sean McWeeney Jr. is an Associate at Graham Thompson where his legal practice focuses primarily on data privacy, information technology, e-commerce, electronic communications, and general commercial regulatory compliance. After graduating from St. Andrew’s School in 2007, Sean went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Concordia University in 2012 and an LLB Law (Hons.) from the University of Sussex in 2014. He then worked as a primary school teacher before embarking on the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London.
Sean was called to the Bar of England & Wales and the Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in 2018 and commenced his pupillage at Graham Thompson shortly thereafter. In 2021 he authored The Bahamas’ chapter in Chambers and Partners’ Data Protection & Privacy Guide in addition to co-authoring the Data Protection & Privacy Trends and Developments article of the same publication. Sean is also currently a final-year graduate student at the University of Strathclyde where he is pursuing a Master of Laws in IT, Internet, and Telecommunications Law with a keen interest in emerging technologies policy and regulation.
