An Honor to Support our Community
Cable Bahamas Group of Companies, is committed to supporting the Heart Foundation as a Platinum Sponsor during their 56th Annual Heart Ball. The Ball, which is in aid of the Sir Victor Sassoon (Bahamas) Heart Foundation allocates 97% of the funds raised to be used to assist children with congenital heart abnormalities.
Since 1961, the Sir Victor Sassoon Heart Foundation has assisted over 4,000 Bahamian children affected by congenital heart disease, which is the leading cause of death in Bahamian children and usually cannot be detected until after birth when it is costly, but critical to have immediate treatment.
R.E. Barnes, Chairman of the Heart Foundation said that long term sponsors like Cable Bahamas are necessary for the success of the Ball, which is the Foundation’s major fundraiser. “We rely on the support of the local business community and from partners like Cable Bahamas. We wouldn’t be able to save the lives of as many children as we do without the support of sponsors like Cable Bahamas and we are extremely grateful for their contribution in effort to make this event a success.”
As a Platinum Partner of the Heart Foundation in support of this event, Cable Bahamas considers it an honor to support the success of this event as we believe that a healthier community makes a stronger community. “Being a major company in The Bahamas and doing our part as a corporate citizen is extremely important to us. Cable Bahamas is always looking to make a positive impact within the community and through our sponsorship we continue to demonstrate our unwavering commitment.” said Charnette Thompson, Director of Sales at Cable Bahamas Commercial Division.
The 56th Annual Heart Ball is scheduled for this Saturday, February 29th in the Independence Ballroom at the Baha Mar Hotel, Cable Beach.
