Cable Bahamas VP of Customer Experience Allison Levarity Appointed to Director and Chairman of Membership for GB Chamber of Commerce

Mrs. Allison Levarity, one of the foremost female executives within the Cable Bahamas Group has distinguished herself once again as the newest Director and Chairman of Membership for the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce. Mrs.Levarity who serves as Vice President of Customer Experience for the Cable Bahamas Group was honored by the Grand Bahama Chamber during a special event hosted this past weekend.
“The Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce is much more than an organization of business owners. Our objectives are to ensure economic stability and promote trade, help businesses grow and become more profitable and to provide valuable services to our members. It’s the foundation on which to build a strong workforce, develop future leaders, expand the economic base and impact our community. The community needs our focus and undivided attention to rebuild and restore Grand Bahama. As we make this 2022/2023 term official, I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to serve as a Director and Chairman of Membership to aid in helping to build, promote and serve the corporate sector of Grand Bahama.” Mrs. Levarity shared during a recent interview.
Mrs. Levarity was recently featured in the Cable Bahamas Group’s Women in Leadership campaign which was designed to highlight the women who have risen to highest levels of leadership within the group, thereby shattering glass ceilings and shedding stereotypes. She continues making waves within the Cable Bahamas Group. Having joined the Aliv Team in 2016 as Director of Customer Care, her effective leadership style and commitment to excellence led to her being named as the first ever Vice President of Customer Experience and the only VP residing in Grand Bahama in less than 5 years.
Mrs. Levarity’s career journey started over 27 years ago. After graduating from Bethune-Cookman College she made her debut into the work force as a bank teller. As both her knowledge and experience increased she was promoted to Bank Manager. “It was during my transitional periods through various departments I became well rounded in business operations and received a strong background in customer relationship management, customer research and analytics techniques, customer strategy and business process improvement.”
Even though Mrs. Levarity enjoyed a flourishing career within the banking industry, she longed for greater and more diverse opportunities. Hence, n 2016 she happily joined the Aliv team. When asked why she enjoys most about her field of expertise she said, “What I find most rewarding about my work is the ability to channel the voice of the customer to the business and to bring about the changes needed to keep up with our customer’s expectations. After all, what is a business without customers? It is my job to ensure we are delivering high quality service and support before, during and after products are sold and to be able to this is fulfilling. Customer experience is the differentiator in every business and I extremely proud that Cable Bahamas Group of Companies understands this and have therefore put Customer Experience at the core of our business.”
She noted the her appetite for learning is behind many of her career achievements.“
The secret ingredients in my recipe for success is an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, an inquiring mind and a strong sense of my identity knowing who I am and whose I am. I created a road map that keeps me focused on my goals and what I want to achieve. I am guided and live by the serenity prayer every day.” She also credits her loved ones for providing the encouragement and support that allowed her to maximize her opportunities. “My husband, my family and my mentors have all together played a pivotal role at various peaks of my life and my career providing the tools to continue the pursuit of my dreams and aspirations. I took every opportunity that presented itself and found a way to maximize it. The advice that I love to share with individuals in my sphere of influence is, anything in life is possible if you see roadblocks as hurdles instead of barriers. There is nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it and commit to following through.”
