Cable Bahamas Ltd. Board names Franklyn Butler as next CEO

Cable Bahamas Ltd. announced today the appointment of Franklyn A. Butler II as its new CEO. Franklyn has served on the Board of the Company since 2011 and was appointed Executive Vice Chairman in June 2017. Franklyn holds the following positions currently: Chairman of AML Foods Limited; Chairman of Aliv ; Director of APD Limited and Chairman of the Milo Butler Group. It is significant to note that Franklyn will be the first Bahamian to lead Cable Bahamas since its inception in 1994, and his appointment marks a significant milestone for the Company that has a history of investing in Bahamians.

REV announces launch of new free ‘TV everywhere’ app to TV customers

"REVGO Play gives customers the freedom to watch live and recorded shows and movies on the go." REV customers will have much to smile about this Christmas, with the launch of REV’s new TV everywhere app, REVGO Play on December 13th. The app gives REV television customers the freedom to watch their favourite channels live or record them to the cloud, free on any device. Offered at no extra cost to REV customers, REVGO Play delivers up to 50 live TV channels, and 12 local radio stations in its initial launch. The app also gives customers the option to record a total of twenty hours of programming from up to 31 available network digital video recorder (nDVR). “Customers never have to miss a show, movie or game again with the REVGO Play app,” REV Product Development Director Odette Carey said. “By simply installing the app on their mobile device, customers can instantly begin enjoying their favourite channels they love at home or on the road. Additionally, with the ability to record content to cloud storage, customers can get their content any time they want to within a 30-day period. ” Key features include nDVR functionality, where customers can remotely schedule and manage recordings from any device and catch -up TV, which enables the replay of recently aired programs. REVTV customers will also have the flexibility to utilise the restart TV option, to start a currently running program from the beginning. Carey continued, “The number of nDVR and live channels available on REVGO Play is dependent on the customer’s REV television package subscription. We’ve designed this to be as user-friendly as possible while maximising the selection of channels for our consumers. ” Customers can simply download the REVGO Play app from the Google Play Store or The Apple App Store and log in with your REV My Account email and password.
