Delmaro Duncombe: Leading the CBBS Small and Medium Business Division by Cultivating Positive Relationships
The Cable Bahamas Group Continues its Committed to Excellence Campaign with a spotlight on its executive team
The Cable Bahamas Group of Companies is celebrating a campaign called, Committed to Excellence, offering a spotlight on the diverse group of men within the company’s executive team who work together to help the organization thrive. Today’s article features Mr. Delmaro Duncombe, Head of Small and Medium Business at Cable Bahamas Business Solutions.
In 2016 Mr. Duncombe left a position as Sales and Marketing Manager for Genrali Worldwide and joined the newly formed Aliv Commercial Team as Corporate Sales Manager. He brought with him a wealth of experience and enthusiasm, acquired over a lengthy career in divergent areas of corporate sales and marketing including various roles in commercial banks and in the insurance industry. In 2019, when the REV and Aliv Commercial teams merged to form Cable Bahamas Business Solutions, he assumed his current role where he has led his team in dominating the small and medium enterprise marketplace by offering bespoke technology solutions to entrepreneurs of all kinds.
Mr. Duncombe credits his success at work with his capacity to cultivate strong relationships with his clients. “I believe my commitment to excellence shows in my relationships with customers. I realize that what we do directly impacts our customers and their experience ultimately affects their customers. That’s why it’s important for us to continuously demonstrate our commitment to excellence by being responsive to their needs.”
He noted that he believes excellence in customer relationships is what separates his team from their competition. “ From a professional standpoint it goes beyond just offering the service, the difference maker is going to be the relationship with that customer. It is our goal to support them in making their businesses successful.”
Beyond his professional experiences which span the worlds of telecommunications, banking, and insurance, Mr. Duncombe also credits his participation in Toastmasters Club 1600 (The only all-male Toastmasters Club in The Bahamas) with much of his personal development. “Toastmasters has really had a profound impact on my life. The experience of getting to know each of these men and some of the things that they’ve accomplished has really affected and inspired me.”
When asked about his thoughts on the Committed to Excellence campaign he said, “Aside from our customers. The success of any organization is ultimately dependent on its employees and leaders. I feel fortunate to be a part of such a talented, intelligent and experienced team of employees and leaders where evidence of our commitment to excellence can be observed every day.”
