Local Businesses Get a Boost This Holiday Season
Cable Bahamas Business Solutions partners with Kanoo to help small Businesses
Cable Bahamas Business Solutions and Kanoo have teamed up to help increase sales for small businesses heading into the Christmas season at Kanoo’s Holiday Extravaganza. This partnership comes as the economy struggles to rebound nearly two years since the pandemic’s start.
The one-day event, which takes places Saturday, December 18, from noon to 7:00 pm, will feature 20 merchants selling their goods and services in a cashless environment.
According to Cable Bahamas Business Solutions’ Public Relations Manager Jennifer Basden, the company is excited to partner with Kanoo, recognizing the negative impact that COVID-19 has had on small and medium-sized businesses.
Basden said: “Operating in a COVID environment has forced a lot of companies to become agile and have had to pivot. So we’re excited to provide the technology that allows them to use the Kanoo app in that way, so we’re excited.
“We have our team ready to participate in this event on the 18th, and we do think that it’s going to significantly impact the small, medium, and large business communities,” she added.
Participating businesses will not only be able to accept Kanoo payments but conduct Sand Dollar transactions using the fully interoperable Kanoo app.
Kanoo’s Chief Sales Officer Jevon Butler said: “all of the merchants [at the event] will be selling through our platform, and all of the customers who come in will be able to purchase those Christmas goods and services using their mobile wallets.”
The cashless tradeshow will be held at Superclubs Breezes, and customers can expect a fun-filled event and a glimpse into the future of digital transactions.
“We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy this event, support your local merchants, help them to move into the e-commerce platforms, and continue with the power to prosper,” Butler said.
Basden also revealed that Cable Bahamas Business Solutions would have a table at the event, offering some of their latest products for the forward mobility of small and medium-sized businesses.
“We will be offering the Eero device to business owners; it allows greater bandwidth connectivity that businesses are going to be able to benefit from,” she noted.
Basden added that as the country moves closer to a COVID-less environment, the company will offer a Push-to-Talk Device at the event.
“The Push-to-Talk Device is similar to a walkie-talkie. So as companies send their staff on the road, they’re able to stay in contact with them affordably,” she said.
Ebony Bahamas will host Kanoo’s Holiday Extravaganza and music by DJ Zyon. Please note that COVID protocols will be strictly enforced at this event.
