REV opened its storefront in the Mall at Marathon to dozens of Bahamians who were ready to offer the ultimate gift to their compatriots many of whom were devastated by the effects of Hurricane Dorian in the Northern Islands. The communications giant collaborated with a non-profit group, Friends of the Blood Bank who independently arranges blood drive to source the blood bank at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

CBL To Sell Summit Broadband To Grain Management LLC For $332,500,000

BISX listed CBL Group announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Florida based operation, Summit Broadband, to Grain Management LLC, in a carve-out transaction for $332,500,000. The agreement follows a multiple stage bid process led by RBC Capital Markets.

President and CEO of CBL Group, Mr. Franklyn Butler, said "The sale of Summit Broadband will allow us to focus our resources on REV and ALIV, our core Bahamian operations. At the same time, we will be able to deleverage the group’s balance sheet, a key objective I committed to as part of the CBL Group’s Strategic Plan announced at the AGM in January earlier this year. REV warns of false e-mail scam targeting Coralwave customers

REV advised today that it has been informed of an email that is currently being distributed that falsely appears to be originating from the company and is targeting REV Coralwave customers.

REV wishes to inform all of its subscribers that this email, which speaks to new email features provides an unauthorized and fraudulent link for customers to complete and provide personal information, is not from the company and warns that no one should click on the link or follow any instructions contained in the post.

REV warns of e-mail scam targeting REV customers

REV advised today that it has been informed of yet another Internet ad that is currently being distributed that falsely appears to be originating from the company and is targeting REV customers. REV wishes to inform all of its subscribers that this ad, which claims that the company is offering a free Samsung phone and other gifts and provides an unauthorised and fraudulent link for customers to complete a survey and provide personal information, is not from the company and warns that no one should click on the link or follow any instructions contained in the post. The fake ad is designed to deceive people into providing personal information, giving hackers access to the user’s e-mail. The company does not give instructions of this kind to its subscribers and advises all users to practice extreme caution when clicking on links of this nature, even when they appear to be from a trusted source. ZNS & Parliamentary channel off-air for Family Island cable TV subscribers

Cable Bahamas Ltd advises that its cable TV subscribers on the Family Islands are currently experiencing an outage of service for ZNS (cable channel 11) and the Parliamentary channel (cable channel 38). This outage is due to an issue that the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB) is currently experiencing with its “uplink” facility at the New Providence headquarters.

Engineers at BCB have indicated that they are working to remedy the situation.

Unauthorized Payment Centers

Please be advised that there are several individuals and local businesses collecting payments on behalf of Cable Bahamas Ltd without the company’s authorization.

REV wishes to inform all of its subscribers that Cash n’ Go and participating banks listed on the company’s website are the only companies contracted to collect payments on behalf of Cable Bahamas. Customers that choose to utilize unauthorized payment centers are advised that they do so at their own risk.
